User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091017 SeaMonkey/2.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091017 SeaMonkey/2.0 send to / mail recipient of a bunch of photos brings up a dialog box for telling if those photos should be reduced or not ; in this case I specified "not to be reduced" the result is that they are reduced Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. select one or more photos 2. right clic / send to / mail recipient 3. in the box that pop up , select "not to be reduced" 4. complete the message and send it Actual Results: the photos are reduced (480x360) Expected Results: the photos should not be reduced (1200x1600 in my example) I could perform what I wanted to do by using gmail web interface.. additionally, the display of the message in seamonkey's mailnews component is now quite perfect : the photos are adjusted at the width of the message's window , and they can be individually expanded at full size by clicking on them very nice !
> 2. right clic / send to / mail recipient That's actually an operating-system function, images cannot be resized in SeaMonkey itself when attaching, so that's an issue with Windows MAPI. If it only happens with SeaMonkey but not other mail clients, the question is what may contribute to the resizing done wrong (nothing comes into my mind, this should be fully transparent to the mail application). Looking into the copy of your Sent folder, and save the attached image onto the Desktop or somewhere else, is it indeed reduced in size as attached or just seen this way by the fit-to-window-width function when viewing attachments?
after having a try on another PC XP pro SP2 and also after reboot it's OK I suggest to close PS thank's for rsx11m for comments and explanation, *mapi*.dll are different on the 2 PC that are supposed to be quite the same...
