Currently I'm using 2 chatzilla instances and using nicknames smaug and smaug_.
Then I say something in a channel, the other instance gets notified.
I would like to be able disable that.
Attached patch Patch (obsolete) — Splinter Review
I added a pref list for nicknames to stalk. This patch also solves bug 415467.

I take no responsibility for the suckiness of |diff| in this particular case :-(

Patch

Very unhappy with this, and not just because it screws over anyone who was actually stalking a nickname.

I'd prefer prefixes on the stalkWords list items, e.g. "nick:foo" and "msg:bar" or some other way to attach attributes to each item. In particular, I'd like it to support whole-word vs substring on items as well as nick vs message.
