Given that clicking on the sample Personas on the new First Run and What's New pages directs you to the getpersonas site, I'd like to make sure that users who visit that page have a clear understanding of how to undo or switch Personas. I know we have the drop-down confirmation bar built in as part of the product, but I'm imagining a scenario where people click on a Persona from First Run, close that drop-down bar but then change their mind and want to go back to default. One thought is to have a "how to undo" link placed on every Persona detail page that could take you to the appropriate FAQ or SUMO article with simple instructions on what to do. Seems like that would be relatively easy to implement and would potentially save users a lot of frustration. Thoughts?
Yeah, I don't know if we have a SUMO article for applying/clearing/managing personas yet, but it makes sense to me that we would tie it to the web experience in some way. That's easy for me to say since I don't know what the implementation/localization hit would be, but if the page knew it had just applied a persona, offering a link somewhere that says "Want to know how to remove or manage your personas?" seems like it might help users who don't notice the in-product UI, or who knee-jerk dismiss it.
We have added a "How Do I Remove This Persona" link to the Post-Wear Page. http://people.mozilla.org/~chowse/drop/get_personas/v1/04_PostWear.png. Ryan, please navigate this link to "How do I undo a Persona design?" on the "Getting Started" page (see 529999 and 530001)
