I have seen memory usage as high as 850 MB. Due to this firefox either hangs or slows down the entire system. Reproducible: Always
850MB is relative and tell us nothing. How many pages open, what for URLs and do you get this in the Firefox safemode ? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
I have roughly 5-8 tabs (mostly mail accounts and a few news sites) open at a given point of time. I haven't tried it in safe mode. I will try and update the bug.
if you can reproduce in safe mode using version 3.6 please reopen and cite URLs please.
