If you have "Zoom text only" selected and then zoom in on the new Knowledge Base start page, the text in the search box spills out of its container quite ungracefully.

Are you talking about Firefox's option for Zoom text only? Or is it some other browser?
I mean Firefox. It looks OK with the View > Zoom > Text Only not selected.
It looks OK with both zoom and increased text size in IE.
Chrome just has zoom, which also looks OK.

I'm not sure this is a feature people use. My only concern here is accessibility - but I imagine the full zoom feature is enough? This seems at best minor.
What are your thoughts, James? (as our accessibility expert ;) )
Severity: normal → minor
I use it because sometimes I need to look at graphs and charts at their native resolution - zooming would affect accuracy. Someone who views screenshots and photographs also use this.
Accessibility and parity with other browsers is my concern.
It works with IE's text zoom and not Firefox's.

The problem with fixed-height image backgrounds. We could implement this in CSS3, which will work wonderfully in Firefox, and either keep the current, image-based implementation in our IE-specific style sheet or just allow IE to lack the rounded corners, gradient, and drop shadow.
