Localized Sunbird builds show the following message in the extension manager: > No chrome package registered for > chrome://calendar-timezones/skin/addon-icon32.png Comparing the files for the original en-US build and the repackaged de-DE build showed that the file sunbird\extensions\calendar-timezones@mozilla.org\chrome\calendar-timezones.jar is missing in the de-DE build. In addition the entry > skin calendar-timezones classic/1.0 jar:chrome/calendar-timezones.jar!/skin/ is missing in sunbird\extensions\calendar-timezones@mozilla.org\chrome.manifest

This is probably true for both c-c and c-1.9.1, right? In that case this blocks our beta :-( Are you getting these builds from the ftp server, or locally built?

I just downloaded a build from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/sunbird/nightly/latest-comm-1.9.1-l10n/ and the de build does contain the entries and files. Which builds were you looking at?

The build <http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/sunbird/nightly/latest-comm-1.9.1-l10n/sunbird-1.0b1pre.de.win32.zip> shows the issue. Currently I don't think we need to block the beta release on this because it seems the only issue caused by this bug is the missing icon and the message.

I had a similar Problem with our release builds for 1.0b1, but not only for the repackaged builds, even for the normal en-US builds: I created a new profile, the timezone extension is not installed, and I get a lot of errors. The files are in place though, and extensions.logging.enabled doesn't show anything at all. Can anyone reproduce?

My issue was actually http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/calendar/2009/11/10_beta_1_is_one_step_closer.html again, please check if this is also the case for this bug.

The bird is shot, killed, dead and buried inside the Sun forever :) I think we could close this bug.

What we have been doing in the past is just putting Sunbird bugs into the "Sunbird Only" graveyard, but leaving them open.

Does it mean the bird might resurrect from the ashes? :D

I don't think so, not with the current team size. Please search the blog at http://blog.mozilla.org/calendar/ for some details on Sunbird and what the criteria for getting it back is. tl;dr version is: I'd prefer to make Lightning modify Thunderbird so much, that you don't get mail features if you don't want them. If you'd like to further discuss, lets take this to email.

Sunbird code was removed from tree, bug is no longer required.
