User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091028 Iceweasel/3.5.4 (Debian-3.5.4-1) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091028 Iceweasel/3.5.4 (Debian-3.5.4-1) Printing certain Hebrew pages to PDF (via the internal "Print to file (PDF)" option) produces mangled, virtually unreadable output when certain fonts are installed on my system. This occurs when 'FrankRuehlCLM' (culmus - http://culmus.sourceforge.net/) is used in the PDF, e.g.: ~$ pdffonts hebrew-test.pdf name type emb sub uni object ID ------------------------------------ ----------------- --- --- --- --------- FrankRuehlCLM Type 1 yes no yes 5 0 BitstreamVeraSerif CID TrueType yes no yes 6 0 Removing the culmus fonts causes readable, if not particularly attractive PDFs to be generated. The problem does not occur with Epiphany, even though the "Print to file" dialog box looks quite similar. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Load page in browser 2.Print it Actual Results: See attached files: hebrew-test-bad.pdf hebrew-test-bad.png [With 'culmus' installed on the system.] Expected Results: See attached files: hebrew-test-good.pdf hebrew-test-bad.png [Without 'culmus' installed on the system.]

(In reply to comment #0) > Steps to Reproduce: > 1.Load page in browser What page does one need to load, to reproduce this? There's no testcase attached and no URL specified, unless I accidentally missed it. Also: Does this bug happen in Firefox's "Print Preview" mode, as well?
Oops, forgot the test case itself in my blizzard of attachments :/ It's there now. No, the print preview is fine.

reporter, does this still fail when using Firefox 5 *beta* http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/channel/ or Firefox 4?

I don't currently have either of those versions installed on my system. I'll try one or both when I get a chance, hopefully within a few days.

Ok, the page seems to work fine with FF 4, from experimental.
