When creating a contribution there should be some success confirmation when the page reloads.  It could say something like "Pledge saved!"  

Bonus- we should have radio button for "active/inactive" on the pledge creation page (default to active) so users can easily set up pledges without going to a different page.

P3- but I can see a lot of user confusion here so would be good to get it fixed

Verified, FIXED.
Observation:
After you hit 'submit' button on the pledge drive form you get a message
'Your Pledge Drive was created'. Once you get this message the 'submit' button should is still enabled.
