User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 Sorry if this has already been noticed, but it is very frustrating to see firefox slowly hogging a lot of CPU cyclee on Windows 7 Professional RTM build. I have a 2 gb machine, and I have noticed this when a lot of tabs were open, and firefox had been running through a series of sleep-hibernate-restores on the machine. Also, firefox taes atleast half a minute to start up, so when I click a new link, I never realise that firefox is in the process of opening it, and end up clicking multiple times - results in a lot of firefox windows. I had to switch my default back to IE8 because of this. I guess this is a know issue, but it would be great to see an update for this. I heard the next version of firefox has a fix for this (not sure) but now that Windows 7 has RTMed, it would be nice to have an update to fix this soon. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. On windows 7 Professional machine with 2 GB ram, start firefox. It takes about a minute to start. 2. Keep firefox running (about 2 days or more), and let the mahcine go through a series of sleep/hibernate/restore cycles 3. Open task mgr and view the performance of firefox. Actual Results: Firefox is extremely slow. Expected Results: Firefox should work smoothly and quick response to clicks.
