In Gmail and at least one other website
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
0. These steps work when the username/password are not already stored in Firefox.
1. Copy/paste password into password field.
2. Copy/paste username into username field.
3. Click login
Actual Results:
Form posts without password--password is erased.
Expected Results:
Form should post with password resulting in successful login.
I have only been able to successfully test this in Firefox 3.5.* on Windows XP on two computers. This bug did not appear to be present in Firefox 3.0.* on Windows Vista.
Have not tested on any other systems.
