As discussed in the Personas uplift meeting today, I'd like to propose updating the getpersonas.com homepage to be consistent with mozilla.com and other marketing materials. Important note: this is intended to only be a minor change, but if it has a big l10n impact then we should save it for later.

Here are my recommendations:

* Personas homepage (for Firefox users): change headline to "Your Firefox, Your Style" (or simply "What will your Firefox wear today?" as a second option)

* Personas homepage (for non-Firefox users): add Firefox logo to the left of the headline. I think it's an oversight that we don't have our most recognizable brand element on this page...right now there's no clear identification on the page that this is an *official* Firefox offering, so placing a logo in the main area would go a long way towards correcting that. There should be plenty of room if we change the line breaks for this.

* Personas homepage (non-Firefox users): I'm ok with leaving the text as it is under the assumption that it will resonate more with non-Firefox users that way. We can skip the Firefox logo here, too, although in a future iteration it'd be a nice touch to add it to the download button.

I know we're getting close to launch, so I'll just leave my suggestions at this. What do you think? Is this doable? Worth doing? I'm very open to discussing.

Thanks-
Ryan,

Let's use the following copy for the homepage headline:

Non-Firefox Users: "Your Firefox, Your Style". Also, is it possible to add a Firefox logo to the left of the headline without moving out of the left margin?

Firefox Users: Keep the same. "What Will Your Browser Wear Today"

Slater, I know this doesn't solve all your requests, but I think it's close.

Yep, very close. If we can get the logo in there I'll be really happy - I think that will go a long way towards solidifying Personas as an official part of Firefox (which is especially important given that we'll be driving a lot of traffic to the site).

Thanks!
I can add the Firefox logo, shouldn't be a problem. I'll keep it about the same (proportional) size as mozilla.com's logo.

Changed the title, people were thinking 'first run' meant an actual first-run page on a few other bugs.
Summary: first-run: copy for homepage header → Update homepage headline and add Firefox logo

For QA:

On all non-firefox browsers, the homepage headline (currently 'What will your browser wear today?') should be 'Your Firefox, Your Style' with a Firefox logo to the left of the text.

return navigator.userAgent.match(/Firefox|Namaroka|Minefield/);

This is bound to not work since there's a typo: "Namoroka"
...but I've verified that:

* Safari 4
* Opera 10
* IE 7 / 8
* Google Chrome

all show the logo and headline; will verify when comment 6 gets addressed.
Arg, I always misspell Namoroka!

r56592 fixes it :)

My fault, but this should actually be the other way around:

Firefox Users: "Your Firefox, Your Style" with logo to left.

Non-Firefox Users: Keep the same. "What Will Your Browser Wear Today"

Ryan is fixing. Reopening so QA can verify the swap works.
