After getting an alert in Lightning and choosing "Remind me again in X minutes", this is not synched to Google Calendar which means the Google Calender itself (Goolge Mail Website) does not remind me again (only Lightning does again).
Reproducible: Always

Do you use CalDAV or the Provider for Google Calendar to access your Google calendar?
Summary: The setting "Remind me again in X minutes" in Lighting is not synched to Google Calendar → The setting "Remind me again in X minutes" is not synced to Google Calendar
Sorry, I forgot to mention that I use the "Provider for Google Calendar".

Component: Provider: CalDAV → Provider: GData
QA Contact: caldav-provider → gdata-provider
Just tested CalDAV instead of the "Provider for Google Calendar".
Same problem: the setting "Remind me again in X minutes" is not synced from Lighting to the Google Calendar.
Also tested the other way round - same problem: the setting "Remind me again in X minutes" is not synced from Google Calendar to Lighting.
Now I am wondering if this is really a problem of Lighting/Provider or "just" a problem of the Google Calender itself ?

We have a custom snooze mechanism, since there is no standard mechanism. I've checked the Google "remind me again in 5 minutes" feature. Unfortunately, they don't modify the item at all, so this seems to be a website-only feature that just sets a timer for 5 minutes.
So there is no way we can fix this bug. You might want to file a google caldav issue that uses ics the REPEAT property of a VALARM to do the snooze.

Thanks for this information.
Filing a Google bug might help. But to be honest, for this my technical understanding is to modest...
(And I also found out that the Google Web-Calendar does not remind of events that have already begun before opening the Google Web-Calendar [missed events]. E. g. reminder set to 10:00 --> GCal opened at 10:01 --> No notification at all.
So even if there would be a properly working alarm-snooze property in GCal, whenever those snoozed alerts/events become missed events, again there will be no notification at all.
So it seems there's much work left for Google.)
Sorry for this question, but since you have the much better technical understanding: is there a chance for you to file these 2 bugs in Google ? Provided this is something you are also interested in and this is something what is expected by Mozilla to work with Lightning one day.
Would appreciate your help.
Irrespective of this, you are right, my bug report is a Wontfix here.
