I tried looking for the Pix Uploader Extension and got no results back:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=Pix+Uploader+Extension&cat=all&advancedsearch=1&as=1&appid=1&lver=3.5&atype=0&pp=20&pid=3&sort=&lup=
However, at some point I was able to show the result. I don't know what steps I followed, but it involved editing my profile and triggering the bug that causes me to loose all editor and admin permissions.
At any rate, the add-on should always appear when performing the search.

This might assist in tracking down the problem
My current configuration is Win XP and FF 3.0.15
If I do a search at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/
for the word "schedule"
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=schedule&cat=all&advancedsearch=1&as=1&appid=1&lver=3.0&atype=0&pp=20&pid=5&sort=&lup=
Result: NO Experimental addons are returned
If I then click on the "Advanced" search tab and select Firefox
Version: Any
Platform: Any
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=schedule&cat=all&advancedsearch=1&as=1&appid=1&lver=any&atype=0&pp=20&pid=0&sort=&lup=
Result: Experimental addons ARE returned
