User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_8; en-us) AppleWebKit/531.21.8 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.4 Safari/531.21.10 Build Identifier: Firefox 3.5.5 The NYT homepage's margins have changed after abp installation. Because they have shrunk, it reorganizes the page so that some buttons become unavailabe, and text is awkward, such as stories not starting until one scrolls quite a way down the page, and menu items not fitting properly. The text becomes more stacked, and the video links become uncontrollable due to lost buttons from the restricted margins Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. on firefox, install abp 2. go to www.nytimes.com 3. should be immediately apparent Actual Results: as described in details Expected Results: the software should not have affected the margins of the webpage. margins for pages linked to nyt homepage are not affected, I believe. I hope this helps you folks. I appreciate your product and hard work. I'm not a whiz on computers, so I hope my information is relevant.
I'm getting this exact same bug on the NYTimes.com webpage. I'm attaching two screenshots of the damage.
I don't know about the abp patch, but I'm running Firefox version 3.5.7 on Windows7 on a Toshiba laptop. The error is 100% reproducible every time in firefox but not in IE.
I found that after this was occurring on my nytimes page, if I went to 'view' in the firefox menu bar, and zoomed in, the page began working normally again. It HAD started occurring after I downloaded abp (could have been a coincidence), but zooming in seems to have fixed it. I don't know why.
