Drag a tab from an open page out of the tab area and let go, it makes a new page and the tab name comes along for the ride. That is good. However, when you drag the tab from the new page back into the original page, it sets into the page with the tab name, “(Untitled)”.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start Firefox 3.5.5, make a new tab and go anywhere.
2.Drag a new tab out to make a new page.
3.Drag the tab from new page back to original page.
Actual Results:
Tab Naming Error. The name of the tab is, (Untitled).
Expected Results:
The name of the tab should follow the tab to any page it is draged to.
*NOTE. Although this was tested with reliable results 15 times, the results today have are not reliable. Chances are that this was a one day occurrence.

--What I mean by "one day occurrence" is user error or cache exceedance, or any other feature in or out of Firefox which could cause the bug to occur at a more reliable rate.

We would need reliable steps to reproduce this issue. Even if you have extensions installed please run Firefox in Safe Mode (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode) to ensure that not an extension is causing this issue.
I haven't seen any other report of this issue and it works fine for me. Once you have more information feel free to reopen the bug. For now lets close it as incomplete.

I am really sorry, but it turns out that my description was not accurate; I was able to reproduce the bug following the steps below:
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start Firefox 3.5.5, make a new tab and go anywhere that shows a tab title other than Untitled.
2.Go to 'File' and start a 'New Window'.
3.Drag the tab from the old window page to the new window page.
Actual Results:
The name of the tab will be, (Untitled) instead of the title that the tab originally had in the old window page.
These steps were ran on a Ghosted testing station of EN XP SP3 at Adobe and I ran it on the same OS specifics on VMs in EN, JA, DE, IT, FR and ES.
Please let me know if you have any further questions and again, I apologize for this inconvenience.
Thanks,
--Andrei C. Davis

Have you run Firefox in Safe Mode? If yes, does it fix the issue?
Summary: Tab Naming Error, when tab is dragged out from new page and dragged back into original page. → Dragging tab from a new window into another window reverts tab title to 'Untitled'

Hi Henrik,
I ran the steps in Safe Mode and the tabs secured their names from window to window. The issue was likely due to an add-on or some unknown factors that I am unable to track.
Thanks for your proactive assistance and I am sorry if I took too much of your time. I hope you are able to continue such investigative requests in the future.

Would you have time to check which add-on causes this problem? Or can't you see it even with all of your add-ons enabled again?

Hi again Henrik,
I have looked into this. The issue only occurs if a user installs and enables both "TabRenamizer 0.9.6" and "Page Title Eraser 0.8.2". Either of the two alone do not reproduce the tab naming error.
Let me know if there are any further questions,

If you could inform the authors of those extensions about this problem would be great. They would have to check why that happens. Thanks!
