User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091029 Fedora/3.5.4-0.el5.1 Firefox/3.5.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091029 Fedora/3.5.4-0.el5.1 Firefox/3.5.4 Hi All, Would you guys please fix this for me? This is a total pain in the neck! If you set your DNS servers to Open DNS: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 and make a posting on a forum (CentOS, VirtualBox, Open Office, etc.) or just watch a thread on a forum, then leave your browser set on the forum list to monitor it, Open DNS disallows you to read your forum after a wait of about a half hour. You get all kinds of idiot errors about loops and redirection. You have to exit FF and restart it. Then go back to your forums to be able to read them again. Many thanks, -T Reproducible: Always
Here is an example. This is the original web page address: http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=24878&p=113189#p113189 Here is what OpenDNS gives you: The page isn't redirecting properly Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. * This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.
(In reply to comment #2) > Does the error occur in Safe Mode? Yes it does work fine in safe mode. I do believe I have narrowed the problem down to "live_ip_address-1.83-fx.xpi". I have not been able to reproduce the problem since disabling it. Is this a problem with Firefox or the plugin? -T
Changes are it is the plugin. I would disable the plugin, restart Firefox and if it works it is that plugin and you should contact the author. More info on troubleshooting extension issues at http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
I have been doing fine since disabling the plug in. I posted over on his "comments". I presume you should close this bug as no trouble found
Extension issue makes this bug invalid.
