User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2b3) Gecko/20091115 Firefox/3.6b3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2b3) Gecko/20091115 Firefox/3.6b3 After updating to the 3.6betas and enabling the add-on compatability reporter, all bookmarks disappear from the bookmarks toolbar and the bookmarks menu. Disabling the add-on compatability reporter brings them back. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enable Add-on Compatability Reporter 2. 3. Actual Results: Contents of Bookmarks toolbar and bookmarks menu disappear. Expected Results: Bookmarks should have been available. This makes the add-on and Firefox unusable.
Disabling the addon compatibility check makes the bookmarks disappear and you have no addons active (your addon that you try to make work is disabled) ?
No, disabling the addon compatability check makes the bookmarks reappear. The only addons running are the ones that are compatible with 3.6b3.
I can not reproduce your issue. The issue sounds like you are enabling an incompatible addon with the option and that addon is the cause of this bug.
Now it doesn't happen until I enable the Morning Coffee add-on. Don't know why it stopped happening the way I reported it.
I did some more testing. 1. Enable add-on Compatability Reporting - bookmarks still there. 2. Enable incompatibile add-on, restart, bookmarks disappear. 3. Disable incompatible add-on, restart, bookmarks still missing. 4. Disable Compatibility reporter, restart, bookmarks still missing. Don't know what this points to as the culprit but it's a problem.
It seems that this addon is doing something permanent with the bookmarks. I think you have to wait for an updated version of it.
Version: unspecified → 3.6 Branch
I assume that this is no longer an issue. Please confirm. Thank you.

Assuming this is due to legacy add-ons. Also add-on compat. reporting is no longer a thing. Agreeing with Graham that this likely a non-issue now.
