Here is a screen shot of the problem: http://www.cedarparknotebook.net/ourhome/uploads/2009/11/2009-11-24_111408.jpg Once this happens, the browser has to be closed (if multiple tabs are open) then reopen to have the page title displayed correctly; or open a new FF instance and then go to the same page to display the page title correctly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open a non-western web page, say Chinese, and other tabs 2.Leave the non-western web page open and continue your other work, including lock/unlock your pc, etc., for a day or two. 3.You will notice the page title becomes unreadable. Actual Results: The page title becomes unreadable. Expected Results: The page title should always support uni-code text. This actullay happened in previous versions of Firefox too, such as Firefox 3.5.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.2b4pre) Gecko/20091122 Namoroka/3.6b4pre This works fine for me on Windows Vista. So first you see the Chinese characters and after a few days they change into question marks? It is Windows which is specifying the font in your titlebar, not Firefox. Does this also happen if you use a different font type in your titlebar in the Display Properties?
Yes, first I see Chinese characters in my titlebar, then after a few days, they become question marks. I didn't change the font type and I am using all default settings for both Windows and Firefox. I have a Windows 7 box and I will try it on Windows 7 to see if it happens as well.
OK, it works fine on Windows 7. So it seems I only have this error with Windows XP. Wonder if any other Windows XP users have the same problem as me.
Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.13 or later in safe mode or a fresh profile? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing. http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles

It does not seem to be a issue of FireFox, it is related to OS.
