53087 - Checkboxes aren't displayed in Preferences window

Description

Launch Pref window. Browse tgh some categories. You will notice that the
Checkboxes aren't displayed. I can see only texts appearing. If I click on the
'Virtual' checkbox, it is displayed again.

Note that there are bugs in which checkboxes appear, but it is NOT checked (even
for the on with default ON - 51620).

Build and platform:
Today's 2000-09-18-08-M18 build on Win NT.

Nominating for nsbeta3. The end-user will not know about 'Virtual' checkboxes
and they can launch pref panel to change their prefs settings any number of times.

yeah, i'm seeing this on winNT [2000.09.20.08 opt comm], at least using the
modern theme. suresh, which theme are you using?

i cannot repro this using the classic theme on winNT. nor can i repro this on
linux (either theme). (unable to test on mac today.)

i'm guessing this is a theme issue...

PDT:  Agree, P1.  The app appears non-functional with no indication of what to 
do.  More serious still if this behavior leaks outside prefs code.

I'm not seeing this using this the mozilla or commercial builds from this 
morning under modern or classic.  This may be related to the intermittent image 
disappearance problems that seem to be behind a number of bugs this week.

Linux (2000-09-26-09 MN6)
When I check a radio button in Edit->Preference->Send Format, the radio button
immediately goes away. This probably is the same bug.

unless this is theme-specific, i'd say this is just a dup of bug 52390.  read 
all the comments there about checkboxes disappearing...

After testing with the 52390 fix in my tree, this is definitely a dup.
