From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Mac_PowerPC) BuildID: 20000918 Entering invalid data into the DPI field results in no information being displayed in any web browser window or dialog. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enter 9t for the DPI. 2. Exit Mozilla 3. Reopen Mozilla. Actual Results: All windows and dialogs were totally blank. Expected Results: I expected an error message indicating the preferences could not be saved because 9t was not a valid entry.
clarifying summary... but i cannot reproduce this using 2000.09.18.08 opt comm bits on mac os 9.0. what happens to me is that after i save prefs (i don't get an error msg), i reopen the prefs dialog again and notice that "9t" has been replaced with "9".
Summary: totally white dialogs and web browser window → invalid font dpi results in totally white dialogs and web browser window
Not seeing this exact problem in 2000092212 OS9. I will notice that the modern theme is messed up when the dpi is set to 9. Changing summary, confirming, and reassign to themes.

After testing many different DPI settings, can't produce any visual screw ups on either Mac or Windows. Marking WORKSFORME.

I had this happening. I'll take a look and see what I can get. I'll attach a screenshot if I am having problems
reopening. While there is no problem here, the browser should display a "9t is not a valid option" alert, instead of just ignoring the problem and setting it back the 96.

Not a themes bug, it's a preferences bug. Reassigning to XPApps

This may be related with bug 109830, since it does affect themes (I think the reporter mistyped "96" as "9t").

Bug 383009 fixes the Integer pref dialog so that it only accepts valid integers (without trailing junk).
