I don't know what for, but I keep many of the messages I received from bugzilla in a local folder. - If I select the Inbox start folder, type a search (for example "bugzilla") in the search box and type enter, I get a new tab with the results. Good. -If I select a local sub-folder, type "bugzilla" in the search box and type enter, I get a new tab with the results. Good. - If I select the "Local folders" global branch, type "bugzilla" in the search box and press enter, the search box empties itself but nothing happens. Not good :-) Reproducible: Always Expected Results: I would expect the search to give the same results in the three situations

Not > good :-) Hum I don't understand this step ? can you clarify ? Does this happens ins safe-mode (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode) ? Anything in Tools -> Error console when this happens ?

When I wrote "select Local folders", I meant click on the "Local folders" branch (which I hoped meant than subsequent operations would operate on all local folders, I first thought that this would allow me to restrict search, but now I know better), and don't click on anything else in the folders pane, click directly in the Quick search box. When I type "bugzilla", I see that TB suggests me some possible key words, so everything seems just fine. Until I press the Enter key. The quick search box empties itself, but nothing else happens, no new tab, no error message, nothing. Nothing in the Error console either. Exit, then re-enter in safe mode using the safe mode link installed by the setup: same results and same lack of errors.

It is because you are on "Account Central": it is a dupe.
