Can you delete the locastore.rdf file in you profile (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Localstore.rdf) ? to see if it fixes the issue ?

Confirmed: when check spelling window start, don't remember previous position, but move always in top left corner of the screen Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091201 Lightning/1.0b1pre Shredder/3.0.1pre ID:20091201032021

Also confirmed: deleted the locastore.rdf file, started Thunderbird 3.0, created a message & started spell check, moved spell check window, completed spell check, typed in some more mis-spelled words and selected spell check. Spell check window appears in upper left corner of screen rather than "where I left it".

Confirmed. Although this is classed as "Trivial" it is very inconvenient when I have Tbird on Monitor 2 (right hand screen) and I have to crane my poor ancient creaking neck to see the spell check far out top left ;-) Not a show stopper but a worthwhile fix to have the spell checker appear where I left it. Thanks

Same issues in Miramar 3.3 Alpha 2--I too have a dual monitor system based on a Nvidia card. (Windows Vista 32)

Same issue: Two monitors, Thunderbird requires both to send mail.

howdy y'all, this still happens with Thunderbird 6.0 [Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:6.0) Gecko/20110812 Thunderbird/6.0, Build ID 20110812055131]. the previous dialog position is totally ignored and the darned thing opens at 0,0 every time. it is _highly_ annoying with two monitors. [*grin*] also, i think this is a subset of Bug 544286 as that one covers all the sub-windows that do this. perhaps this bug should be duped to that one? take care, lee

It's unclear to me whether bug 544286 should block, or be blocked - so flipped the coin
