User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
This occurred after I installed the FF 3.5.5 upgrade. No map, no scroll bar, no directional icons, no view adjustment, no markers for directions. Map view says We Are Sorry We Dont Have Maps at This Zoom Level for This Region. However, there is no zoom adjustment
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open FF. Google is my home page.
2. Select "Maps"
3.
Actual Results:
See my summary.
Expected Results:
Google maps operable as before. When it works in FF, it is much faster than IE.
It's pretty simple. Perhaps you can tell me how to uninstall FF 3.3.5 in the interim and go back to the previous version.

Works for me in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20091130 Minefield/3.7a1pre (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) ID:20091130050300. Please try in Firefox safe mode. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode

Using Firefox Safe Mode does not help this problem one bit. This advice is like tech support telling me to check if my computer is plugged in and turned on.

Actually, Firefox safe mode is majorly different than asking you if the computer is plugged in. It disabled all extensions and addons, temporarily restoring Firefox to it's default state. If safe mode did not work, please try with a new profile. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles?s=profile

I went through the Profiles routine and now Google Maps works in FF. Thank you very much. However, even though both my personal profile and my default profile contain my Bookmarks, the bookmarks no longer show up on the FF menu. I imported them from IE and can access them that way. Not a happy change but do-able with the workaround.

Ok, well, sounds like it was an addon or customization of some sort that was causing this. support.mozilla.com can help you get your bookmarks back if you would like to go there.
