Details

Regression from the previous betas.  In the 3.0 release candidate I can't use F8 to show/hide the message window.  It seems to work _sometimes_ but most often it does not.

I can still show and hide it by selecting it from the menu (View -> Layout -> Message Pane) but the hot key doesn't work.
