User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 Build Identifier: The web site in question is a picture gallery. I activated hotlink prevention in Cpanel. I am using Flash SWFObject and a xml file that contains the location of the images. Because I had hotlink prevention activated, it was preventing firefox and the embedded flash to call for the images. The same set up works using Internet Explorer 7 I am using this script, http://www.flabell.com/flash/Fade-In-Fade-Out-Slideshow-282 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Obtain the latest version of SWFObject http://code.google.com/p/swfobject/ . 2.Create a html page, using the <object></object> to embed your flash. 3.Create a xml file for the location of the images. 4.Activate hotlink prevention in Cpanel. Actual Results: The flash is embedded correctly, but no images are shown. Expected Results: Once the hotlink prevention was turned off, the images are called for and shown as expected. I am 99% sure this only happens when using the SWFObject set up.

I don't think this is a duplicate bug of 410904. For whatever reason, I think the security setup in Cpanel believes Firefox is trying to directly link to the files when it requests the resource(s). This only happens when using SWFObject.

It's a 100% dupe, please do not reopen unless you can explain what else is wrong if you don't think that the referer is missing. what you call hotlinking is usually a referer check. Please explain it on the http öevel if you think that this feature in your software does something different
