You should check to make sure your computer's time is correct.
I get this whenever I open Thunderbird and then every five minutes after that. What do I do to fix it?

This is a support request. can you go to http://www.getsatisfaction.com/mozilla_messaging and ask there, you'll get your answer there. Issue is probably on your server where a security certificate has expired.
