Firefox process does not finish as windows 7 x64. Then you're going to start and is not responsible for the never ending process is active. And when you turn off Windows 7 indicates that a process (firefox) does not leave off the system you want to force it to end, and must be done. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.start firefox
2.finish firefox
3.shutdown windows 7
4.Windows 7 indicates that a process (firefox) does not leave off the system you want to force it to end.



I use Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Processor AMD Phenom 8650 triple core 2.31ghz
4 GB ram, 3.75 gb 250mb shared video memory on a motherboard with NVIDIA Geforce 6150 SE 430 with 6150SE

This is usually caused by an addon (such as ghostery), so please try disabling them, starting safe mode, or creating a new profile.

I have the same problem in Windows Vista Ultimate Service Pack 2
You close firefox... but sometimes... the process is still there as firefox.exe in my case is taking a 25% of resources of my sysem
This is very annoying because you have to stop the process manually! please, fix this as soon as possible
I'm sure many people don't realice this problem because they are not monitoring the processes in windows, but I tell you this is happening and the proces don't close properly.
PLEASE, FIX IT !!!!

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.x or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
