Whenever i use any major search engine (bing, yahoo, google) and click on a result link, firefox freezes and does not respond, you cannot click stop, refresh, type in the address bar or do anything else, in the task manager it says firefox is still responsive but ive waited over 10 mins with no response

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.go to www.google.com
2.search anything
3.click on any of the links
Actual Results:  
firefox stopped responding after i clicked the first link

Expected Results:  
it should go to the website that the link should take me to

Sounds like you have an extension which is causing this. Please do these two things.

Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.13 or later in safe mode? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

You can also try to reproduce in Firefox 4 Beta 8 or later, there are many improvements in the new version, http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.13 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
