When trying to open email from inbox email ain't loaded to preview box. When opened with double click wrong email is shown at tabbed window. At tabs title is correct but the actual message and message title below are from different message.

Problem disappeared after restart of the program.

Does this happens in -safe-mode (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode) ?

When it happens nothing in Tools -> Error console ?

It's happen the same thing - i can't open some mails or open other mail with the correct header but the contains is from other.

Note: on the webmail service the email is correct and no problems

is only on Thinderbirb.

Ho one more thing does rebuilding the index for the folder where the issue is happening solves the issue (right click -> properties -> rebuild index) ?

I get the same thing happen at least once a week. Currently using 3.1.1 (although it happened in 3.0 too).

I am running Windows Vista Business with all latest service packs.

Not reliably reproducible, but on occasions when it does occur, it tends to be something like this:

1. delete a new message without reading it, such as google adsense daily report
2. new message comes in possibly to existing thread. When I click to preview it, instead i see the google adsense text. If I double click it, same thing - it shows me the full source of the google adsense message text.

I am sure on previous occasions the google adsense report (which comes with data attached) has triggered it - not sure if that is significant, or just to be expected because it is the kind of auto-mail that I'd delete without reading.

I am using Gmail with IMAP, and when I view the messages in the gmail interface, they display correctly. Also, once I move the message in gmail to a folder (label), and then view on TB, it corrects the issue. I view that email in a folder and no longer see the wrong text for it.

can you reproduce this using a current version of thunderbird?

if you are unable to reproduce, please close by setting stats to resolved, and resolution to WORKSFORME or another appropriate setting.

If you are able to reproduce, add new details, and a testcase if one does not already exist in the bug report.
