I can use the scroll wheel in all other open applications, including the non-beta Firefox. I have this issue on three different computers with three different mouses. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open any web page that requires scrolling to reach the bottom. 2.Use the center mouse scrolling wheel to scroll within the web page (up or down). 3.Screen does not scroll. Actual Results: No scrolling. Expected Results: Scrolling.

The mouse I'm using on this computer is an IBM. I believe the other one is a Microsoft mouse.
Model # MO28UO for the IBM mouse.
Does the procedure here (substitute firefox.exe for acad.exe) help by chance? http://snafder.blogspot.com/2008/07/autocad-2008-scroll-wheel-not-working.html
Flags: blocking-firefox3.6?
Hi John - I'm removing the blocking flag until this bug is confirmed. This isn't saying that you're not telling the truth, but we need to narrow the problem down and make sure it's with Firefox, first. Once that's done (Kyle's helping out!) please reset the flag if it's confirmed to be a Firefox issue. Having someone else who can reproduce the problem will also help.

Hi. I also have this bug occurring. Had this with Beta 4 and have this on RC. My mouse is an Evoluent VerticalMouse 3. The scroll wheel button is working fine everywhere else, including 3.5.7 but with 3.6 RC it doesn't. Also, the options mentioned in the link above aren't available for my mouse.
Was a bit hasty to comment, so to clarify the scroll wheel works for me, but the scroll wheel button doesn't. So when I click the scroll wheel button, in all other applications including 3.5.7 it opens the white ball with arrows so I can scroll by moving the mouse, but in 3.6 it doesn't.

This is also happening on the final of Firefox 3.6. I am using Windows XP with a Logitech Click! optical mouse. Scrolling doesn't work on any area that contains a scroll bar.
I found why it wasn't working for me. I have this background program called "KatMouse" which is a utility to enhance the functionality of mice with a scroll wheel, offering 'universal' scrolling: moving the mouse wheel will scroll the window directly beneath the mouse cursor (not the one with the keyboard focus, which is default on Windows OSes). Once that application was disabled scroll started to work in FF 3.6. I have filed a bug with the application developer to have him take a look.
Closing as WFM as you found the cause. If you are still experiencing this issue or have more information to provide feel free to post back here and we can re-open the bug. You can also get assistance by visiting the Firefox help site -> http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Ask+a+question
