It's not persisting for me. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open/Show Today pane in Inbox (or message) tab 2. click open the calendar 3. click back to Inbox pane, and Today pane is frustratingly closed Expected Results: The Today pane width should persist across sessions and across going back and forth to the calendar tab.

> Lightning/1.0pre Shredder/3.1a1pre First thing to test is using a correct combination of test builds. Test builds of Lightning 1.1a1pre for Shredder 3.1a1pre can be downloaded from <http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/nightly/latest-comm-central/>.
Thanks. I've repeated the bug with this build: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20091208 Lightning/1.1a1pre Shredder/3.1a1pre
Though compiling on amd64 with --enable-calendar (on a different machine) doesn't seem to have this problem.
but in amd64 compiled the today pane won't stay open on the calendar view. (maybe this is a separate bug)
Hello Schuyler, don't know if this is your case, but today pane doesn't remember the open state if it has been open by dragging the splitter instead of clicking on the grippy as reported in Bug 520738. Try to read there to verify if it's the same issue.
Assuming this is the same as bug 520738. Schuyler, if you can still reproduce and this is not the same issue, please reopen this bug.
