Does it happens in safe-mode (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode) ? Anything in Tools -> Error console when this happens ? >Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.23) >Gecko/20090812 Lightning/0.9 Thunderbird/2.0.0.23 Mnenhy/0.7.5.0 That doesn't look like a 3.0 install btw.
Component: General → Security
QA Contact: general → thunderbird
Version: unspecified → 3.0

Well, it is. In Help About is Mozilla Thunderbird version 3.0 (c) .... and then this build string.

(In reply to comment #1) > Does it happens in safe-mode (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode) ? I should have tested it. It does not happen in safe mode - so it's caused probably by Lightning trying to load remote calendar. But still, is it a bug of Lightning or Thunderbird. If master password prompt is already showing, then showing another prompt, if extension tries to access saved password should not happen. > > Anything in Tools -> Error console when this happens ? Go into the preferences window, under Tools -> Options, select Advanced and then the General tab under Advanced. Select Config Editor. This opens a new window, acknowledge any warnings (if there aren't any then it doesn't matter). Then search for "general.useragent". There should be a general.useragent.override value set, right-click it and select the Reset option. Then go back into Help -> About, and you should get the string you expect.
