I'm using FF 3.5.5 on Win XP SP3 with a wide-screen graphics card - 1920x1200 pixels. When I visit maps.google.com, the left hand (directions) pane takes up about 45% of the width of the browser page. This compares negatively with the same page in IE 8, wherein about 35% of the width of the page is taken up by the directions pane. As you can see in the attached screenshots, there is a lot of wasted space in FF. Personally, I would rather see more of the map. I'm sure something that Google is doing is the cause of the problem, but a difference of about 10% seems more than just that. I'm no HTML/Style/JS expert, so, is there any chance it is a FF layout/Frame bug?
