RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 377358

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091017 SeaMonkey/2.0
Build Identifier: Bugzilla 3.4.4+

When viewing a bug report while tagging is enabled, the bug number is often missing from the "to bugs" or "from bugs" input area. This is always true on the report for a newly submitted bug, but I also occasionally see it for reports on existing bugs. I must scroll to the top of the page to copy the bug number and then scroll to the bottom to paste the number into the input area.

Reproducible: Always
It's possible that changes that I recently made in HEAD will fix this automatically for Bugzilla 3.6. Would you test it at http://landfill.bugzilla.org/bugzilla-tip/ and let me know if you can reproduce this there?
I cannot find the original bug right now, but it's a well-known dupe.

dupe of bug 377358, which has been marked as a dupe of bug 372023. So pointing to 372023 directly.

Given the present non-specific nature of bug #372023, it is far too soon to determine if that will indeed encompass the problem given here. Bug #372023 actually represents an RFE while this bug describes an error. Reopening.

Re comment #1: I created an account at the Tinderbox version of Buzilla that you indicated. I created 10500. Then I established tag DRoss and tagged that bug. I then created 10501. When 10501 displayed, the tag input areas appeared in the footer; but the bug number did not appear in the "to bugs" area.

Please stop playing games. You have now declared this bug to be a duplicate of bug #377358, which was closed as a duplicate of bug #372023, which was noted in comment #4 as not a duplicate of this bug.

Bug #372023 is explicitly an RFE, requesting a change in the design of Bugzilla. Further, there is nothing in the Description or comments in bug #372023 that in any way indicate the problem in this bug would be addressed.

This bug reports a discrepancy -- an error -- within the existing design and thus cannot be a duplicate of an RFE, especially an RFE that is so vague that I cannot determine what will actually be implemented by that RFE.

At the minimum, this bug should be left open until bug #372023 contains sufficient details to make clear that the problem cited here will be addressed. Since the problem is indeed real, this bug should more appropriately be left open at least until the implementation of the RFE is nigh.

*You* should stop playing games and let us triage our bugs. I'm not triaging yours! If you disagree with your bug being a dupe, then bug 377358 should be the one to be reopened.

David, that's not really an appropriate thing to say in Bugzilla. Please review the Bugzilla Etiquette rules here:
