User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/3.5.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091204 Thunderbird/3.0 hello, my problem is: I have several accounts. it happens often, that there is a timeout during looking for and downloading my new mails. now, some accounts are already finished-ok, but where are the accounts/is the account, where the timeout occurred?? my suggestion is: it would be wonderful, if all the accounts, that are finished-ok should be marked somehow (color, symbol...) - or similar solutions that give appropriate informations. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. make a "download from all accounts" (in german: "Alle Konten abrufen"). 2. sometimes a timout occurs. 3. I have no information, what account had the timeout/is left for checking new mails. Actual Results: because I don't know exactly which account is left for checking, I have to do the whole thing again. Expected Results: the software should give information about the accounts, that had the timeout or similar informations.
The activity manager doesn't fit your needs ? (see tools -> Activity manager)
Summary: enhancement (not a bug!): during mail-download give information what account is already finished → During mail-download give information what account is already finished
I really didn't know, that such a tool exists (maybe it is a little bit hidden) - is it new with version 3.0? I'll give it surely a try now and will report my experiences - maybe it fits my needs. although it would be imho better to put this functionality more to the front somehow (so that I can see more information "live").
hello, it lasted longer than expected to see my timeout again - now it happened. and I have to say, that the activity manager doesn't fit my needs, because it - too - only says that timout occurred. it doesn't give any information (as far as I could see) about the concerning account. I hope there will be a good solution sometimes...
some more (helpful?) details: the timout happens after step one: "connecting with <host>" (in german: "Verbinden mit <...>"). and: I have several mail-accounts (belonging to 3 domains) on one mailserver. and: I most often look for my mails with the one-click-option ("check-every-account" - in german: "Alle Konten abrufen"). so: is there possibly some room for optimizing this process? (e.g. just login once for every lookup or similar)
Severity: normal → S3
