I am working on netscape6(build id 2000090913) on solaris2.8(sparc) system. I am
not able to create folders within other bookmark folder using 'Manage
bookmarks'. Whatever folders we create go in the root.

In case of netscape6(build id 2000090720) on solaris2.7(intel) system , it is
not possible to create folders at all.
I am unable to reproduce this with current builds 2000092508 on Linux RH6
resolving as WFM

I again tested on the latest build of mozilla (10/09) on solaris2.8(sparc).
Still i am getting the same problem. Can you please test this on solaris?.
It took going to try this on Solaris to realize my error. I've been interpreting this bug
incorrectly the whole time. The behavior on Solaris is the same on all platforms, namely
new items are added as siblings (same level) of the selection. Problem is, if an open
folder is selected it needs to be added as a child instead.

before reopening:

a. retest with a *recent* trunk build.
b. query bugzilla to see if there's an existing, open bug (new, reopened,
assigned) that covers your issue.
c. if this does need to be reopened, make sure there are specific steps to
reproduce (unless already provided and up-to-date).
