I should also mention that this happens in both Firefox 3.6 and Trunk. This doesn't happen in Firefox 3.5, which doesn't appear to have the ability of starting in full-screen mode.

Yes, I still see the problem in the latest 3.6 nightly. Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:22.214.171.124pre) Gecko/20110203 Namoroka/3.6.15pre If you quit Firefox 3.6 while in full-screen mode, the next time Firefox is opened it will start in full-screen mode, but with no window controls and all of the toolbars visible. However, I no longer see the issue with dialogs re-triggering the pseudo full-screen mode. This problem is not in Firefox 4.
We'll close as WFM since this is FIXED in firefox 4 but we don't know what exactly did it.
