"Checking with Mozilla HQ to check your plugins" sounds corporate and maybe a bit sinister. Can we please drop the "HQ" part. Thanks.
Agreed, it would be better without the HQ. Steven, can you take this one? I couldn't find this text in the SVN page on Kubla. In terms of priorities, this is definitely behind the ongoing 3.6 and mobile work. Thanks!

This string is in a js library, note that it is a priority for l10n since we are about to launch localization of this page and we need strings in this js library to be frozen for that. Austin can update the library.
How about: "Checking with Mozilla on the status of your plugins"
