This bug tracks the localization of the Major Update box proposed to Thunderbird 2 users. This page will be displayed into a XUL dialog box when the Major Update will be offered or via the about menu option to look for a new version.

Here is the page to be translated in your SVN repository:

A copy of this file is in each locale directory that had a Thunderbird 2 release.

Separate, per locale, bugs will be filed as dependencies of this bug. Please
commit directly on SVN and inform in your depending bug when the pages are
ready, you can also attach the translated pages to your bug and I will commit
them for you.

Note that you don't have to update the lang attribute (lang="en") in the html file with your locale code.

You can now archive messages in Thunderbird 3, in Thunderbird 2 you couldn't.

There are 2 ideas here, one is telling about the new feature (message archiving) and the other is saying that there are other unmentionned features in this list (and more). If you feel it is going to be too long a sentence in your language, I would just focus on Message arching indeed.

For French we turned the sentence in a line that says "message arching among new things" which happen to be short in my language and sounds good, maybe it can give you ideas for alternatives :)
