When a node is cloned, the new node references the style of the old node (rather
than a copy of it). This makes it impossible to clone a node and then change the
styles independently. An alternative to a deep copy would be to allow a style
object (CSS2Properties) to be cloned (directly or programatically)
The W3C DOM Specifications appear silent on the implications of cloneNode on
style. IE5 does a deep copy of styles. (This bug may be related to Bug 26528)
