User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091201 Firefox/3.5.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091201 Firefox/3.5.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Pop up ad windows(watch streams or video popups), when clicking on minimize maximize or close buttons stall firefox, the buttons flicker and makes everything unstable. Right click wont come up with options, or right click on window to close, close button never highlights. When i end firefox in tast manager, says it is still running. Doesnt happend in IE Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. www.channelsurfing.net 2. click on one of the links to watch a stream 3. Overtime minimize maximize and close buttons wont work, makes everything unstable Actual Results: Firefox can give in at anytime, causing instablitily with the software Expected Results: Able to close any window with out being unstable, rather it be popup, popup video or anything, only stalls when pop windows with ads or video, such at streamed video popups Seems like popup videos from private servers websites run by only a few people, not any big name websites cause issues.
Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.13 or later in safe mode or a fresh profile? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing. http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles

I haven't seen this on 3.6, but I do see this behavior on Firefox 4 (on Win 7). I haven't found a way to reproduce it reliably, but it does happen every few days. During the time the min/max button is flashing, Firefox is useless. I've been able to get out of it once in a while, but not every time. In those cases I'm forced to kill the process.
Rick, if you still see this with the most recent Firefox 4 in a fresh profile, please create a new bug.
