All other applications have the default location on the upper left or on a selectable toolbar location.  It is at least annoying to do what comes from years of practice and that is move the mouse to the upper left and then realize that for these applications the buttons are in a non-standard place.

Please, at lease make the location selectable.

I would like to use other than a Microsoft solution.... please make it comfortable for those of us that want to transition to your solution.

There's also bug 519956 for customizing (or eliminating, if you want) the message header toolbar.
