Details

1. open thunderbird 2. if you haven't set up an account (i haven't), cancel the account setup wizard 3. maximize the main window 4. help>about 5. use the task switcher to switch back to the main window 6. help>about expected results: about dialog should come to the front actual results: nothing Note that I really managed to do something like this (probably i clicked past the about dialog which caused it to go to the background, or perhaps i used the button that took me to credits [more likely]).
Josh, anything in Tools -> Error console ?
Same happens in Firefox
I should probably move this to CORE.
Doubt it: far more likely that we copy-pasted something from Fx that's now broken for us both than that it's a core failure.
For Windows XP: Confirming for TB 8. Works in TB Trunk. Works in FF 8. Works in FF Nightly. Timeless (reporter), can you test again on MAC with current versions and/or trunk? Need to check this on MAC / Linux before closing wfm.
For as long as About is shown, we should not allow user to focus anything else within TB in the first place. So would not never be an issue if we fix bug 708543.
Depends on: 708543
No response to comment 6 for MAC. Wfm on WinXP, About window is always in foreground of TB window. Remaining problem is bug 708543, About window can lose focus and thereafter cannot be closed using keyboard only.
