Your issue is related to Kaspersky antivirus spam filter and is a dupe of bug #533692. See Mark Banner workaround at http://getsatisfaction.com/mozilla_messaging/topics/kaspersky_anti_spam_extension_causing_blank_window_problems_with_thunderbird_3_upgrade Feel free to reopen it if workaround don't solve your issue.
