I have visited many sites with Firefox, and have often come to web pages that display the text overprinted over other text, even with images overlapping other images. But when I visit same pages with internet explorer, they display without the overlap.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit http://www.rubbercal.com/Pure_Gum.html
2.
3.
Actual Results:
over-printed unreadable text

I have to think real hard what to say here :) Maybe in a few years ...

I am not seeing any overlapping text. Can you do the following?
1) Try safe mode and see if the issue still occurs -> http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
2) Try a new, empty profile? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles?s=profile
3) Attach a screenshot of what you are seeing with arrow/highlight of area with overlap (unless obvious from screen shot)
Well, I did try a new profile and you are correct - I see no text overlap.
So, the question is how do I fix the problem?
I do not want to lose my browsing history, because I find it extremely convenient.
Also, I do not want to lose all my addons (i.e. I do not want to have to
re-install them).
Is there something I need to remove or edit that will fix this text overlap problem?
I had the same problem with overlapping text on this web page. I found it was my minimum font size setting that was causing the problem.
That was it!!!
I set minimum font size to 10 and the overlap went away.
Thanx!!!
