User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de-DE; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091201 Firefox/3.5.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091204 Thunderbird/3.0

If I receive an email from a long email adress (eg +vet23-twitter+taube+d7ea13a669.twitter-follow-vet23-twitter.20.abcdef=spamgourmet.com#postmaster.twitter.com@spamgourmet.com) the toolbar is moved to the right and becomes invisible.

This also applies to the button to show external contents.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Receive an email from somebody with a long email.
2. View it in the three-pane-view or open it with a doubleclick.
Actual Results:
The toolbar is too much on the right, so that it is (party) invisible, because she is off the screen.

Expected Results:
Cut the email and display the buttons in every case.

I am using the default theme. I am using Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala).
uname -a: Linux guru-desktop 2.6.31-16-generic #53-Ubuntu SMP Tue Dec 8 04:01:29 I am using UbuuUTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux
Summary: Reply, Forward, Junk, Delete Toolbar invisible on long emails → Reply, Forward, Junk, Delete Toolbar invisible on long from email adress
This is weird... this seems to be the exact *opposite* of bug 530047. How can two opposite bugs coexist like this?

Can you reproduce with an official Mozilla build, especially in Safe Mode (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode)?
I think this is an official build, isn't it? How do I know if it is an official build? (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091204 Thunderbird/3.0)

This error is reproducable in safe mode too (no changes)
I don't have Ubuntu, so I can't tell you for sure, but I suspect that if it was either preinstalled or installed with the package manager it's probably the Ubuntu-maintained build. And since 3.0.1 is the latest version of Thunderbird, try installing the Mozilla build from http://download.mozilla.org/?product=thunderbird-3.0.1&os=linux&lang=de -- you may want to unpack and install it in a separate directory.

If the problem doesn't show up in that build, then you should report the bug to the maintainers of the Ubuntu Thunderbird build and resolve this bug as invalid.
* Ad Ubuntu: I installed/updated it via Ubuntuzilla (http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/ubuntuzilla/index.php?title=Main_Page) which downloads the latest version from the homepage.

* Ad Windows XP: (I will attach a screenshot)
I am using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20100111 Thunderbird/3.0.1
The error also occures in safe mode.
