Sometimes, typically following launch, the Calendar tab shows non-Calendar information; or the Tasks tab shows non-Tasks information.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. launch Thunderbird

2. open the Calendar and Tasks tabs

3. command-Q to quit

4. launch Thunderbird
Actual Results:  
Mail & Newsgroups beneath the Calendar tab, or beneath the Tasks tab

Expected Results:  
Calendar or Tasks tab (whichever was in foreground before quit; cross reference bug 536300).

Works fine foe me using Lightning 1.0b1 (BuildID: 20091211101839) with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; de; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091204 Thunderbird/3.0.

Problem reproduced in Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091204 Lightning/1.0b2pre Thunderbird/3.0 using the 22-Dec-2009 09:57 PST build of Lightning.

Graham, which build id of 1.0b2pre was this not working in for you?

Works fine for me with 1.0b1 and latest 1.0b2pre. Could this be a mac only problem? (Martin, can you check?)

Looking at bug 550789 now I wonder whether the main Lightning page was steering users to the wrong nightly builds. To be honest, the code naming is non-intuitive.

Its likely that this was an issue with something in Thunderbird, in 3.1 I often had the problem that when showing a search result the mail view pane took over that tab.

I assume this is fixed on Ltn 1.1a1pre / Tb 3.3a3pre, since I cannot reproduce on mac or linux. If this issues still shows up, please do reopen!
