Currently, inside the 'Event' dialog, the status bar indicates 'Priority' and 'Privacy'.

It should also indicate 'Status' (Tentative, Confirmed, or Canceled).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enter an 'Event' dialog (for example by creating a new Event)
2. In the Event dialog menu, select Options / Status / Confirmed

Actual Results:  
In the Event dialog status bar, NOTHING is shown.

Expected Results:  
In the Event dialog status bar, something should be shown.
For example, Yellow '?' for Tentative, Green 'OK' for Confirmed, Red 'x' for Cancelled.

By the way, can you check if the correct spelling for en_US should be 'Cancelled' or 'Canceled' ?

We should consider this, but we shouldn't put too much into the status bar. setting uiwanted.

Adding to what Stefan said, it would be great to be able to add additional status' such as "Out of Office"

I believe the statii mentioned are set in stone in rfc5545. If we want a new status, we need to make it an X-value, which other clients will not understand.

The request addressed with this bug has been added with bug 362933 but the issue mentioned in comment #2 might arise:
