the store response in the same folder as the responded mail is active. I am in the incomming mail folder. I click to respond. I create the response. I send the response. Then I get some time (not every time) a message who says that the response can not be stored in the folder. Some time the response is lather in the folder, some times the response is not stored

All versions .. I have seen this in Version 2 and now also in the version 3.

This bug is not systematic. Some time it works fine, some time the response is not stored. This morning I have send one response, and I had the bug. On the next message no problem. 

Perhaps it is related to the memory usage. Or the fact that thunderbird is receiving messages ...

Problem when "folder to save copy of sent mail"=="Inbox to which many mail arrives" are reported to some bugs.
Bug 486947 is an example of the issue, and Bug 486947 provides consistent way to reproduce problem.

If you want to use "the store response in the same folder" option, move all(or as many as possible) mails in Inbox to other static folder(by message filter, manually, ...), to avoid unwanted problem, please.
If you want to keep all mails in Inbox and want to keep large folder fize of Inbox/large file size for Inbox), and you want to check new mails in Inbox frequently, disable "the store response in the same folder" option to avoid unwanted problem, please.

Hi Wanda, this is a "turnarround" not a real solution. We must stop with all kind of "turnarrounds". All kind of "turnarrounds" costs our civilisation the future.

And ... if there is a high grade responsible of the thunderbird project, who reads this, please contact me directly: I have a very interesting NO SPAM solution who is the future of the email communication (0% SPAM, the solution is not a "filter", the solution provides security enhancement)

Yes. You are absolutely right.
As written in bug 486947 and as seen in bugs pointed in it, this bug is dup of already opened bug(s).
I think such bugs should be consolidated to two bugs.
 Problem when "folder to save copy of sent mail"
           == "Inbox which is accessed frequently, to which many mails arrive"
 (i)  bug for problem on local mail folder
      (contention of local mail folder only issue)
 (ii) bug for problem on IMAP mail folder
      (communication with IMAP server is relevant to issue)

It is sometimes not possible to include the text of the message ,, I work on multiple anguage platforms ... engish, german, french, italian, spanish, ...
