Currently, users can choose to allow or disallow sites from opening their own context menu (or otherwise taking action) in place of the browser's context menu. This seems like an unfortunate choice to have to make. Sites should have the ability to provide a context menu of their own, and users should always have the ability to access the browser's context menu. I recently saw a post on Planet GNOME regarding context menu support going into Epiphany. That post presented a novel solution: let sites replace the context menu, but make ctrl-rightclick always open the browser's context menu. I think that solution would work nicely in Gecko/Firefox as well.
